It blurs the threads of history
It clarifies the speaker’s mind
It emboldens unrevealed lies; it divulges well-known truths
It steals Noah’s virtue
It shapes Van Gogh’s brush masterfully
It supports Dionysus establishing civilization
It witnesses Odysseus’s reunion
It fabricates
It demolishes
It is unspeakable bitterness
It is the grievance that one swallows alone at night
It is the foreshadowing before every white lie
It is the time dwindling in the hourglass
It is even more the one who flows and ripples in my boiling artery and vein,
irresistibly
That Seems I can’t quit

About the poet:
Hi, this is Justin. I am a Junior studying in the United States now. And I am from Taiwan and was born there. Writing in English is never an easy thing for me since I was raised in Taiwan for 13 years. However, I want to challenge myself as I always do; therefore, I decided to attend Dream Quest One poetry contest. Regardless of the result, I really enjoy the process of writing a poem, it is way more fun than I expected before.
